Helena Period Drama

Helena Bonham Carter - star of Les Miserables and his Orchestra, HP7A and everything made by Tim Burton ever.

Also known as Helena Handcart and Helena Cardboard Box.

Jason Isaacs revealed on Wittertainment that despite being married to Burton, Bonham Carter still had to audition for the roles she took in his films. Jason knew this because his trailer was next to hers on Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, and he heard her practicing her scales for the audition for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street.

Mark Kermode had originally detested Bonham Carter's work, not least due to her being so annoying in A Room With A View with Julian Sands (hence the Helena Cardboard Box name). Then she underwent a complete career turnaround with films like Fight Club and Frankenstein, not to mention the work of her husband. In the middle of Ikea Knightley's most wooden period - after Atonement and Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End - the Good Lady Professor Her Indoors pointed out to Mark that a similar thing could happen to Ikea Knightley. Mark conceded it could happen - "I don't think it will, but it could." Spookily enough, Knightley's next release was The Duchess - the film that did, indeed, lead to the abandonment of the Ikea name.
