CGI animated movie that attempts to mine comedy from the emoji characters of mobile phone texting fame. Mark Kermode was on the Wittertainment Cruise at its time of release and, much like with Keith Lemon, was bombarded with requests that he see it so listeners could enjoy the resulting Kermodian rant. And, much like Keith Lemon, he did indeed hate it - so much so, it ended up nearly topping the list of worst films of 2017, only being beaten to the top slot by the truly repulsive Wolves At The Door.
