Las Vegas

Mark Kermode is not keen on the city of Las Vegas. He has variously described it as "an abomination", "an evil bad place full of gangsters and gambling" and "the capital of foulness." While reviewing Ocean's 13 he called for it to be wiped off the face of the Earth.

The film Bugsy ends saying "50 years on, Las Vegas still exists." Mark was confused as to why the filmmakers thought this was a good thing. To him, this was like saying that 50 years on, herpes still exists.

Ocean's 13 was a particularly low point because "SCHWOOM - I'm in Las Vegas with Julian Sands."
