During an appalling run of releases Mark had to suffer in 2005 (including We Don't Live Here Anymore, Last Days, Revolver and The Devil's Rejects), Elizabethtown took the crown as worst of all. Dr K dismissed the film's principle male actor (Orloondo Bland), female actor (Kirsten Dunst) and director (Cameron Crowe) respectively as: "He can't act, she's really annoying and you are letting the side down." He then went on to say the ending, in which Susan Sarandon tapdances at her husband's funeral, turned the screening into a (metaphorical) version of the scene in Problem Child 2 in which everyone on a carousel spontaneously vomits.
