Whenever a reference to mid-80s pop group Duran Duran occurs in Wittertainment, it will be deliberately mispronounced as "Durran Durran" in honour of former Radio 1 DJ Simon Bates, who once - not paying attention - did that by mistake.

A similar thing happens with chihooahooa dogs, although the originator of that is Peter Powell, who made that sort of error so often that he once had the entire Colemanballs column in Private Eye to himself.
