# Lab closure rule



[Mark Kermode](Mark_Kermode)'s [rule](Rules), coined as a result of [Journey To The Center Of The Earth](Journey_To_The_Center_Of_The_Earth), that all scientists in movies begin the film under threat of having their lab closed (or at very least their funding cut) - as is the case for [Brendan Pasta Boy Fraser](Brendan_Pasta_Boy_Fraser) in said Jules Verne [3D](3D) fun.
