# Silent Running

[Mark Kermode](Mark_Kermode)'s [second-favourite film](Mark_Kermode's_All_Time_Top_10_Best_Films_Evs) after [The Exorcist](The_Exorcist) which has been known to turn even the manliest of butch rugby players in to [Solid Gone](Solid_Gone) [wrecks](Tears).

A technically spectacular and emotionally manipulative film which will expand the minds of even the most jaded cynic.

When Mark reviewed [Wall E](Wall_E), he spent the entire time actually talking about Silent Running, and then again every week it was in the [Box Office Top 10](Box_Office_Top_10).

In fact it even gave Mark and [Simon](Simon_Mayo) the chance to introduce a special screening of the film, although this was meant to be a big announcement and Mark accidentally leaked it by mentioning it during the countdown while Simon was down the line in Beijing and couldn't see him to stop him.
