# Rant in the kitchen

The predecessor to 2006's [radvent calendar](Radvent_calendar), Rant in the kitchen was a [competition](Competitions) in which a lucky listener could win a selection of various film-related tat that had accumulated in the Film Review Show office during the year. This included memorabilia from [The Family Stone](The_Family_Stone) \- though sadly not the earplugs, eyemask and crash helmet that Mark recommended be worn whilst watching it.

The competition involved identifying three films from their [Kermodian rants](Kermodian_rant) \- specifically [Doom](Doom), [Palindromes](Palindromes) and [Revolver](Revolver).

It was particularly noticeable for forcing Mark to admit that - contrary to his [denials](Nothing_if_not_inconsistent) \- he really did say that "[computer games](Computer_game) are rubbish."
