Scooby Doo

When Mark was in New York making a documentary about Linda Lovelace and interviewing a number of rather unpleasant people who were involved in her life, he was feeling particularly grim. Then he went to see the live-action version of Scooby Doo at a screening that was packed with children, all of whom laughed loud and long at the recurring farting dog scenes. It really cheered him up - "I thought, this is lovely, I am feeling a bonding experience with humanity here - on the one hand, I've been dealing with all this filth, and here I am with a bunch of kids laughing at a farting dog. And that's where I want to be."
