Ronan Keating Moment

Ronan Keating Moment

The point in a movie in which characters are called upon to sing and the subsequent singing voice is from a different set of vocal chords than those possessed by the actor playing the part - previously known as the Edith Piaf Moment in reference to La Vie En Rose, in which Marianne Cottiard's performances as Edith Piaf were dubbed over with Piaf's actual vocals.

This is in direct contrast to Gary Busey in The Buddy Holly Story, which provides continuity of voice. Gary Busey in The Buddy Holly Story will always be brought up whenever a Ronan Keating Moment occurs.

The name references the Postman Pat film, where Stephen Mangan plays the main mail delivery personage, but when required to sing sounds uncannily like Ronan Keating.
