Palindromes

"One of the most self-indulgent, pretentious, artsy pieces of nonsensical twaddle I have sat through... a heartless, mean-spirited, freakshow movie that works entirely on the basis of clever-dick pompous twits smirking. And I hated it." – Mark Kermode, BBC Radio 5live

Palindromes' director Todd Solondz had worried before shooting Palindromes that making the film - which used the Brechtian Alienation Device of constantly changing the actor playing the main character - might be an academic exercise, but then decided to do it anyway.

He was right the first time.
