Nyder O'Leary

One of a clutch of regular correspondents from the mid-2000s - Martin in Old Portsmouth, Ben in London and Peter in the Czech Republic were others - Nyder was the originator of the Matthew Mahogany nickname.

Nyder also wrote a more "florid" review of Pan's Labyrinth after being a little disappointed about how Mark Kermode had articulated the way in which the film had changed his life. Simon thought it belonged in Private Eye's Pseuds Corner.

Nyder's review of Sex And The City was so good, Andrew Collins felt he didn't need to bother doing his own (although in actual fact it turned out that Nyder and Andrew fundamentally disagreed about the film).

Nyder's gender is unknown. When Mark asked Simon if it was a man or a woman, Simon replied, "it's Nyder."
