McConaissance

Terrific performances in good films including Dallas Buyers Club, Killer Joe, Magic Mike and others have led to a recent resurgence in the previously moribund career of Matthew McConaughey, who had after a promising start in movies like Contact had appeared in a succession of interchangeable romcoms such as How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days and Failure To Launch, many of which required him to lean on something/someone on the poster.

This welcome improvement in the quality of his films is referred to as the McConaissance. See also Ikea Knightley.

This phrase was not invented on Wittertainment (it was possibly created by The New Yorker) but has been used by the Doctors on many occasions.
