The movie stars Taylor Kitsch, Mark Strong and Willem Defoe, all performing to little effect whatsoever. Mark Kermode regarded John Carter ~~Of Mars~~ as the most boring movie title ever. The title was changed after the studio became concerned that audiences would be put off the science fiction implications of knowing that a substantial part of the film took place on Mars.
