It's all going to be alright in the end

Dr K's chosen words of reassurance for listeners, taken from William Peter Blatty's original ending for his novel, The Exorcist. This was cut out of the film.

The use of the phrase on the programme began after a listener wrote in seeking affirmation after being dumped by her boyfriend of nine years. She was assured that it would indeed be alright in the end. The Good Doctors also fired a Fart Gun at said ex.

After the Trumplesome election of 2016, Dr K was overwhelmed with listeners asking if it still held true. The essence of his reply - which was edited over with birdsong for large parts of the podcast - was yes, but it may take until the end of time itself.

It has recently come to light that this statement was also made by Julian of Norwich in her book Revelations of Divine Love, the first book in the English language known to have been written by a woman.
