Actually called Hope Floats - romcom from 1998 that was part of Sandra Bullock's sequence of "dud after dud after dud after dud after dud" that gradually broke Mark Kermode's heart, as he loved Sandra Bullock.

Also featured Harry Connick Junior playing a nice guy.
