Fairport Convention

Regulars on the Hello to.... list after, on 23 November 2007, the band's lead singer, Simon Nicol, texted in his own favourite pithy review (Dorothy Parker's "Me no Leica" for I Am A camera) when Mark had been discussing how David Cox's description of The Straight Story as Forrest Gump on a tractor was his favourite review of all time. Former Fairporter Richard Thompson then texted in asking for a shout-out too - and so all current and former members of Fairport Convention were added.

Ahead of going on stage at their folk festival Cropredy in 2008, the Fairports recorded a very special "hello to..." Mark and Simon, which was played out on the show. A year later, Wittertainment embraced their love from the Fairports so much that they did the show live from there, which included the famous clash between their children over Ice Age 3: Dine Of The Dawnosaurs.
