The movie took its alternative title from a mistake by an Odeon near listener Tim - who added that the change "says it all." (A similar mistake by a cinema that was offering a screening of "Dead Clam" would later lead to the misprint game).

When Mark first heard that Matthew McConaughey was starring in a film called Failure To Launch, he envisioned it to be a movie about erectile dysfunction. It is a shame that that wasn't true, as Mr Mahogany appearing in a film about an inability to get wood would have been pleasingly ironic.
