Clarisse Loughrey

Clarisse Loughrey is a species of sea-dwelling bird. She is native to the planet Ahch-To, where Jedi Master Luke Skywalker made his exile in the years prior to the Battle of Crait.

Clarisse is from a species of non-sentient bird. She is stocky in nature, with two short wings, flat, beak-less faces, and two webbed feet. Clarisse is sexually dimorphic. Clarisse is covered in dense feathers, with white coloration on the body and face, and grey to brown on the wings and back. She is much lighter than she looks, thanks to a thick outer layer of waterproof feathers with a fluffy underlayer for warmth. She can fly short distances but not far enough to leave her native island. She can also run quite swiftly on the ground and is good at manoeuvring into small spaces. Clarisse has stereoscopic vision, coloured with brown irises and black pupils. She favours colder environments.

Clarisse apparently also possesses an understanding of certain linguistic terms. When she overheard Rey refer to Chewbacca as "Chewie" she mistook it to be the word chewy, leading her to wonder whether Chewbacca would serve as her food.
