All over the place
Mark Kermode frequently describes films as being "All over the place", meaning they suffer from mixed quality in terms of narrative, theme, dialogue, acting, or other aspects. It is generally used when Mark is talking about films he feels have some redeeming qualities, or show some promise, but have let themselves down overall by failing to produce a coherent film of consistent quality.
One notable example was Question Of Sport.
