Alan Davies

Floppy-haired friend of Stephen Fry who is notable in Wittertainment spheres primarily for describing listening to Mark Kermode as being "like having a cheese grater rubbed against my ears".

Mark and Simon still gave him a "hello" though, after he described District 9 as "prawns eating Whiskas," which Simon found very funny.

Mark went to see Davies in stand-up in 2017 and thought he was brilliant. When he spoke to Davies afterwards and said something along the lines of "you're great, I'm sorry you don't like my voice," Davies replied, "meh."
