# Happy Christmas to...

While counting down the all-time [Top 10 Christmas movies](Top_10_Christmas_movies) in 2007, [Mark Kermode](Mark_Kermode) mentioned Les Mayfield, who had directed the 1994 version of Miracle On 34th Street (which hadn't been put on the list, being usurped by the 1947 version, although Mark actually preferred Mayfield's version). Mark described Mayfield as a "terrible director", at which point [Simon Mayo](Simon_Mayo) interjected saying, "but if you're listening, happy Christmas." "Happy Christmas" was then said to:

* Les Mayfield
* [Jean de Boorman](Jean_de_Boorman)
* [Chris Columbus](Chris_Columbus)
* [Julian Sands](Julian_Sands)
* [Danny Dyer](Danny_Dyer)
* [George Lucas](George_Lucas)
