Simon Beezer coined this new word after watching The Lobster, a film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. Primarily it defines something as being dark, weird and slightly off-centre.
A use for this word when bringing home food from the supermarket/take-away to a grateful family is yet to be fully defined, but according to Mark one possible use might be "I would have ordered lobster thermidor in a Lanthimosian way, but I didn't". Simon (and indeed the rest of the known world) is yet to be convinced by this usage.
