# Tertiary syphilis

In late 2006 Mark described [Santa Clause 3](Santa_Clause_3): The Escape Clause as "the cinematic equivalent of tertiary syphilis".

The phrase sadly wasn't used on the film posters. The same review was also an early example of Mark comparing a film to [The Abyss](Abyss).
