# Pula

Pula, when used in Amma Asante's film The United Kingdom, means 'rain' in Setswana and is a well meaning greeting. However, in Romania it is a term for the male genitalia. In Norwegian it is a rather uncouth word for a "[special cuddle](Special_cuddle)" between two (or more) people who love each other very much. It is also a Finnish sweetbread spiced with cardamom. In Swedish it is to tinker with something, or to stuff one thing into another into another (which can lead to very interesting conversations when talking to someone from Norway).

In short, please be very careful when using this word absolutely anywhere, it could go horribly wrong!

According to Mark, "Pula, Pula, Quo" is the worst Status Quo song ever. Although we at Witterpedia Towers think he may have misheard this.
