Ang Lee's epic gay shepherd (not gay cowboy) film that unexpectedly lost out on Best Film at the 2005 [Oscars](Oscar) to [Crash (the Sandra Bullock one)](Crash_(the_Sandra_Bullock_one)). During the [Box Office Top 10](Box_Office_Top_10) countdown, [Simon](Simon_Mayo) accidentally read out the name Brokeback Mountain as "Bareback Mountain" - which, given the film's subject matter, went on to become a running gag far beyond Wittertainment.
