From 2001 to 2009, the Daily Mayo was a three-hour daily [5 Live](5_Live) show presented by [Simon Mayo](Simon_Mayo). [Mark Kermode](Mark_Kermode) only did an hour on Fridays, hence several references in listener correspondence to Simon and Mark as respectively "presenter and contributor" or "Simon and sidekick," all of which deeply bothered Dr Kermode.
