# PILS

Pregnancy Induced Lachrymosity Syndrome. Another of the lachrymosity family of film watching syndromes. (See also [AALS](AALS) and [HILS](HILS).) Pregnancy is known to be a time of heightened emotion and hormonal upset, but crying whilst watching the Russell Brand remake of Arthur could only be caused by a bout of PILS.

An occurrence of PILS whilst viewing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) has also been used as a reasonably accurate pregnancy test.
