# Crash (the Sandra Bullock one)

2005 Best Film [Oscar](Oscar) winner. Jack Nicholson was audibly shocked when he read out that it had won over [Bareback Mountain](Bareback_Mountain).

The film has arguably not stood the test of time overly much, often [appearing in lists](https://web.archive.org/web/20220808065507/http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-38884691) of worst Best Film winners.

Although Mark rated it alongside [A History Of Violence](A_History_Of_Violence) as his favourite film of 2005, his own opinion [began to change over time](Nothing_if_not_inconsistent), not least because of director Paul Haggis' involvement with [The Last Kiss](The_Last_Kiss).

The film did at least bring [Sandra Bullock](Sandra_Bullock) back into Mark's good books for a short period after a series of very poor role choices in which she had really let him down.

But then she made Premonition.
