It has become the custom for listeners who write into the show to address the good doctors using the following formula at the start of their missives:
> Dear X and Y,
where X and Y are usually replaced with two related names/references/items from film or past show memes. An example of this would be:
> Dear Wizard and Man-Behind-The-Curtain,
or
> Dear Boom and Tish,
or
> Dear S and M,
or
> Dear Wes and Erson,
(a fine joke that Simon unfortunately couldn't work out)
[Mark Kermode](Mark_Kermode) had said that his personal take is that he and [Simon](Simon_Mayo) are [Flanders and Swann](Flanders_and_Swann).
